Singaporean Comfort food with Obbie
Romeo Obiacoro, “Obbie”, is an engineer by profession. He came to Stavanger, with his family almost nine years ago and have worked in several oil & gas companies as a structural engineer. Some of his interests are nature (trekking/tour), mountain biking, nature and landscape photography but his real passion is food.
He learned how to cook from his mother as early as nine years old. When he lived and worked in Singapore for eight years, his love for Asian food inspired him and he closely watched the hawker street food chefs and cooks while preparing famous Asian dishes. He started to re-create the dishes and tried to put his own version to it. To further enhance his culinary skills he attended a course at the Centre for Asian Culinary Studies, where he learned techniques from professionals and gained his Certificate.
Come along to learn from Obbie some delicious recipes and spend time with great people in a relaxed atmosphere!
We will learn to prepare:
– Oats Prawn
– Famous Chicken Rice
– Bak Chor Mee (Mee Pork)
Price: 400 kr/adult || 350 kr/student or unemployed 🙂
The price for the course is covering expenses related ingredients and administration/organization, but not a salary for the chef – so you are welcome to bring some cash for tips or you can use Vipps (just download the app) and send over tips with your mobile phone.
