Greek with Alexandra – Courou cheese pies

INGREDIENTS: Tbsp : Tablespoon Ts : Teaspoon

200gr strained yogurt
1tbsp butter
200gr olive oil
500gr flour
1ts baking powder
1ts salt
250gr feta chesse
1ts pepper
1 egg
Sesame seeds (black and white)

PREPARATION:

  • Mix with a wooden spoon the yogurt, the butter, the olive oil, the baking powder and the salt and then add the flour (keep 100 gr in case the floor is to strong and is needed less). Combine with the hand, but not overwork the dough. We need a soft just not sticky dough.
  • For the filling, break the feta cheese with the fork and add the pepper.
  • For the assembly, take 30gr of dough open it in our hand in a small circle, put a tsp of filling in the half of the circle and close the cheese pie. Put the pies on a baking tray, spread with beaten egg and drizzle with sesame seeds. Bake them at preheated oven at 180oC for 30 min.
