Brazilian street food with Marilda Duda – BRAZILIAN VINAIGRETTE SALSA = VINAGRETE

Serves 10

INGREDIENTS: tsp = teaspoon tbsp = tablespoon

1 large yellow onion*, diced in small cubes

4 tomatoes, diced in small cubes

1 green bell pepper diced in small cubes

1 small chili pepper diced in small cubes

¼ cup chopped coriander

¼  cup white wine vinegar

½  cup olive oil

Juice of 1 lemon

A pinch of sugar

Salt and pepper to taste

PREPARATIONS:

  • Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well
  • Season with salt and pepper and serve**.

Notes

* We Brazilians usually make vinaigrette salsa with yellow onions, but you can substitute to your favorite kind of onion.

**The vinaigrette tastes even better if you let it rest at room temperature or in the fridge for about 30 minutes to one hour, before you serve.
