Mexican Cuisine with Patricia – Hibiscus drink

Serves 4


1 cup hibiscus flower

1,5-liter water

¾ cups sugar

Ice cubes


  • Cook the hibiscus flower in a 1,5-liter water pot for 10 minutes

  •  Let it cool down and drain in a colander

  • Discard the flowers

  • Add sugar and mix. Taste. If it is too tart for your taste, add more water and/or sugar to correct for tartness and sweetness.
