Mexican cuisine with Patricia – Tacos de Champiñones / Mushroom tacos

Serves 10


  • 1 package mushrooms
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 chili jalapeño (fresh)
  • White cheese for melting


  • Wash and cut the mushrooms. Chopped the onions, garlic, tomatoes, and onion. 
  • Add oil in a pan and fry garlic, onion and tomatoes 5 min. Then add the mushrooms, mixed and fried, and cook until there is little water. 

To make tacos:

  • Warm the corn tortillas on both side. On a plate place the tortilla and fill it with the mushroom mixed. Add salsa on top.

To make quesadillas:

  • Warm the tortilla. Put on the tortilla white cheese to melt. Add the mushroom mixed. Bend the tortilla on a side and continue warm it up for one minute or until the cheese starts melting. Turn the tortilla to the other side for one minute.
