Mexican food with Yasbenia: Pickled Red Onions

2 red onions (medium)
2 limes
½ habanero or 2 red chili peppers
1 tsp. Salt



  • Slice the onions as thin as possible, remove the seeds from the habanero or red chili pepper and slice it as well.
  • Put the onions and chili pepper in a small bowl, add the juice of the limes, and salt. Mix well and let it marinate with the lime juice for at least 15 minutes.
