Venezuelan Cuisine with Adriana – Patacones

Serve : 6-8 

INGREDIENTS: ts = teaspoon tbsp = tablespoon 


 1 Plantain green  per person 

Ham slices

1 pack Gouda slices 

1 pack Grated cheese 

4 Tomato 


3 Onion (yellow)

Mayonnaise, Ketchup, Mustard 

1 Chicken breast per person 

Spring onion

3 Paprika ( 1 of each colour)

Salt, pepper 

Bay leaves

Worchester sauce 


  • Put the chicken breast to boil with the laurel leaves around 20-30 min then shred it manually

  • Cut all the vegetables and  fry them briefly in a pan. Once ready, add them into the shredded chicken to cook for 15/20 min until it is dry

  • Peel and cut the plantain in half , fry them lightly

  • Then press the halves with a press or a flat object and fry them again

  • When all is ready, assemble like a burger.
